Grins and Giggles Pattern
Grins and Giggles is an original pattern that began about 11 years ago. I started with a much larger quilt using only three fabrics, light, med, and dark. Then was asked to teach it on a cruise so we made it a bit smaller and used various shirtings for backgrounds with med and dark civil war prints. Next came a version using a modeled white batik background with bright batiks for the med and dark. Loved this one also.
Today I decided to make it using a fat quarter bundle from Kimberbell and because this is such playful fabric, I decided to call it Grins and Giggles. I love the idea of some of the shapes "falling" off the corners as they tumble and play. These are simple applique.
Size is approximately 63" x 75". Included is a pattern for a smaller version that measures 33" x 39", both quilts are possible using this fat quarter bundle.
